Ich habe gestern (also nach nur 2 Monaten und 10 Tagen) tatsächlich eine Antwort aus Brüssel erhalten!
Eines Kommentars dazu möchte ich mich an dieser Stelle enthalten ()und gebe den Text hier wortgetreu wieder, damit ihr euch selbst ein Urteil bilden könnt. (ggf. Google Translator bemühen)

Dear Mr Gompert,
Thank you for your letter to the President of the Commission in which you share your
concerns about the situation of migrants in the Greek island of Lesvos. We are grateful to
the civil society organizations which offer their support to the most vulnerable. We are
aware of the difficulties in the Greek islands and, thanks to our personnel deployed on
the ground, we follow closely the developments in Lesvos. The Commission is
committed to act in full respect of human rights and dignity of asylum seekers and
refugees, ensuring them appropriate reception conditions.
In the aftermath of the destruction of Moria camp by fire, the Commission has taken
immediate action to work hand in hand with the Greek authorities in providing at the
earliest possible timeframe, shelter to all ex-Moria residents. Thus, the Commission
provided funding to the Greek government to set up a new temporary camp on another
site called Mavrovouni while offering in parallel technical support and further financial
assistance to carry out the necessary works on site to bring it up to acceptable reception
conditions. Significant progress has been already achieved at the new site, markedly
improving living conditions. All accommodation tents are fully winterised while there
are ongoing works to install proper Water and Sanitation facilities as well as further flood
prevention measures. At the same time, the Commission funded the transfer to the
mainland of more than 2,500 recognised refugees and vulnerable migrants from Lesvos,
within a month after the Moria fires.
Moreover, in September 2020, we established a dedicated Taskforce(1) which, together
with the Greek authorities, is working as a priority on a joint pilot to improve the
situation on Lesvos to better manage migration and asylum processes, including by
setting up new, fully up-to-standard reception facilities on the island. On 3 December, the
Commission concluded a Memorandum of Understanding with the Greek government
and EU agencies, formalising the above-mentioned priorities and commonly agreed
objectives for the island of Lesvos. Our aim is to have the new reception centre ready in
the course of next year.
In addition to the support provided directly in Lesvos, the European Commission has
granted Greece extensive operational and financial support. Among other projects, the
Commission supports and coordinates the voluntary relocations of unaccompanied
minors, sick children with their family, refugees and vulnerable asylum seekers from
Greece to other Member States, including Germany, with so far more than 1,900
transferred persons. Moreover, with the aim to find sustainable solutions, the European
Commission recently launched the New Pact on Migration and Asylum(2), based on
solidarity and a fair share of responsibility among Member States.
